Commencing in 2022, Russell Rovers GAA will embarked on a multi-year development of its club facilities. Included in the development is a full redevelopment of:
- Club Meeting rooms
- Dressing rooms
- Kitchenette
- Gym
- Ball alley
- Toilet facilities
- Car and bus parking
The build of a floodlit astroturf pitch, and a width increase on the current playing pitch.
Aa well as attaining the relevant GAA and Government grants, the club will continue to fundraise for this development through numerous activities. If you’d like to support, the easiest way to contribute is via the Weekly Lotto.
This development not only will benefit immediate club members, but also St. Colmans Juvenile GAA, St. Colmans Ladies Football, Shanagarry Boxing Club, and the wider Shanagarry, Ballycotton, Garryvoe and Churchtown South communities.

Russell Rovers have made monumental strides both on and off the pitch, for the players even reaching an All Ireland Final again is a great achievement and a proud day for them and the community. Off the pitch saw the official opening of the Astro pitch and Ball wall which saw years of planning and fundraising come to fruition. Having these facilities and an upgrade to the grounds like this is a small testiment into the community spirit of Russell Rovers and their members and supporters alike.
